Senior Software Engineer

Job Description:

Contribute to the overall system architecture of a database based, real-time enterprise system
Assist with the longer term planning for the platforms/infrastructure that will support the application
Work with product specialists and team leaders to create accurate level of effort estimates and schedules
Design, code and test new features and functionality based on requirements provided
Perform software maintenance and bug fixes
Participate in design and code reviews, documentation of design, and implementation of SDLC methodologies to ensure high quality software
Contribute to the planning and analyzing of high-level software strategies and solutions through functional and technical expertise
Design and implement analyses that will identify requirements related to people, processes and technology
Implement or lead the implementation of the technical infrastructure, including networks, platforms and servers, enterprise enabling, application enabling, security and operations management, and
Integrate technical and application components to meet business requirements.

Working Conditions: 40 hours / week.

Minimum qualification: Bachelor Degree in Computer Sciences or Related Field plus 8 years of experience:

with software design and development on a Windows/Linux/Unix platform
Proven background in enterprise application design and implementation
Experience developing multithreaded applications
Experience developing real-time transaction processing applications
Experience with J2EE, JBOSS and Java
Demonstrated proficiency of troubleshooting techniques and detail-oriented problem diagnosis
Experience working with a Product Development team in an agile software development environment, and Must have the ability to assess a situation quickly, from a non-biased point of view, and help arrive at the most beneficial resolution for all parties involved.
